2015 Goals

I’ve probably lost all followers of this blog but I’ve stopped caring (play music “Let It Go ~Ari no Mama de” Maiko Fujita Version)

It’s been a LONG time since I wrote on my blog. I even deleted the whole thing and I’m starting over.

I’ve never seriously made goals (I don’t want to call them resolutions because they sound wishy-washy and fake and unattainable), either short-term or long-term. I always had something in mind that I’d like to do but I never thought of an action plan for any of them.

Financially, I am not the type who lives outside of my means, and I always have a lot of extra money before payday, and to be honest if I didn’t have some left over from last year, I wouldn’t last within 6 months of my “Aggressive Saving Plan.”

I got the free journal from Starbucks but I found that it was a bit hard to write on pen and paper with my thoughts running so fast so lol. I guess I should revive this blog.

So here are my goals for 2015:

  1. Aggressive Saving Plan
    • Weekly savings of RM 50+(10*wk#)
      • Year-end BANK savings should be
      • Plan is reverse of the 52-week saving plan + RM50, with first week at +RM100 instead f RM50 (Because I already made the deposit and I can’t be bothered recomputing)
      • Keep this in Malaysian bank
        • Interest rate at 0.30% p.a. up for RM1001-25000 savings
        • Incentive of RM5 each month if Average Monthly Balance is kept at minimum of RM RM3000 (I am not sure about this. The site says RM5000/month but I’m pretty sure I haven’t been saving that much lol)
    • Monthly Investment with Mutual Funds (PhilEquity & FundSupermart)
      • PhilEquity Fund, Inc (Philippine Peso)
      • PhilEquity Dividend Yield Fund, Inc (Philippine Peso) –
        • Still checking this out
      • FundSupermart (Malaysian Ringgit)
        • Currently in review
        • Take advantage of low Forex rates between MYR and PHP
    • Emergency Fund
      • Still deciding if I should save a separate amount for this since I am aiming for bank savings
    • Travel Fund
      • March -> Philippines
      • May -> Tentative
      • December -> Somewhere
  2. Certifications
    • Still deciding on what
  3. Be more social
    • Accept invitations from coworkers
