Review: www.TopUSAOnlineCasinos.com

www.topusaonlinecasinos.com is a guide for US Casino players to find reliable online gambling websites. It has a top ten ranking system which classifies websites according to the amount of bonuses you could get, if you need to download a program, the percentage of the payout, the rating in reviews, and of course, the reviews themselves. The website also has Top US Online Poker Rooms and Sportsbook sites which includes the number of games aside from the usual categories minus the download classification. These give you a quick overview of what is the best feature of each online casino website.

The reviews include a wide range of categories rated by the website. The software, the trust factor which is an important issue especially in casino websites, and of course, the bonus and promotions. They also give you what games you could play, what kind of customer service you can get, and how prompt payouts and support get to you.

The site is simply designed, the background colors unobtrusive to the images of the websites being showcased. The site could do better in terms of web design though, for it is not that attractive. However, in its simplicity, what you need to know is there. All the links work except for the About Us page which is important in knowing the credibility of the reviewer/s of the said websites. Another thing they could add is a table of their point system in rating the websites and what do their over-all ratings mean.

Dulaang UP - As You Like It

Yesterday, I watched the Filipino translation of William Shakespeare’s As You Like It. The UPIS English and Filipino departments were given 100 tickets fot Dulaang UP’s Filipino showing of As You Like It. Since it was free and I wanted to watch it anyway, I went.

I’ll give a shot at reviewing a stage play. x_x… Humm.. I don’t know all the names of the Characters. I should’ve bought the programme…

Mizrock - Good bye, yesterday

I really am crazy. I should be checking papers but No~ I’m here about to write an album review. And since classes got suspended today, I’m going to write it anyway.

Miz is one of my favorite singers, so much so that I use Miz as a nick on IRC, and if you see my last.fm profile, she is my overall top artist.

She sang the theme song for the PS2 game Grandia III under the title “In the Sky” although this isn’t her best song, in my opinion. The other song included, “What Difference”, is better.Anyway, I just got her newest “mini-album” and she released it under a new name (Again. First it was Watanabe Mizuki then Miz), Mizrock. Mizrock was her most recent album before this new mini-album.

Mizrock - Good bye, yesterday (2007.07.25)

I just read recently that the carrier single is the new ending song for the anime, Romeo X Juliet.

Although she changed her artist name to Mizrock for this album, it doesn’t reflect her being Mizrock. Sure, some were a little rockish, but her songs here are more poppy and mellow.

01 Good bye, yesterday

It starts somewhat mellow-y, then becomes a little upbeat. Her usual back vocals are still present, which enhances her voice. And yes, her vocals are always strong and full emotion. I don’t understand most of the words, but it sounds a very optimistic song.

02 Beautiful Day

This is an uplifting song that makes you really feel that the day is indeed beautiful. I love the parts when the lyrics go fast in the chorus. The beat makes you bob your head up and down or tap your foot on the floor. It’s a beautiful song~ This is the best song in this album.

03 I

This song somewhat disappoints me. Maybe she was trying a different style of singing, and maybe I’m just not used to this kind of music from her. It almost reminds me of “Unbreak my Heart.” However, her vocals are great, as usual. The song sounds a little sad, and if it really is, then she has expressed that emotion of pain very well.

04 ???????? (Small?Town)
This isn’t her usual song as well, but I like the vocals and the back vocals. I didn’t like the start very much but it gets somewhat better nearing the end, but still not quite reaching the Miz I know and love.

05 ?????? (Aisaretakute - I want to be loved)

WHY are her songs for this album mostly sad? Is it because the carrier song for this mini-album was used for a sad anime, Romeo X Juliet? I DO like this song though, even if it’s sad. It’s not very strong, but her vocals are. The beat is basic, but I like the music. The melody and soothing, and it gives you a wishing “feel” to it. T_T I’m gonna love you forever, Miz. Don’t worry.

06 Big Sky

This is upbeat but not really rock-y. But at least it’s happy. I love the acoustic guitar’s sound. It’s like an old-fashioned song but newish.

Final verdict?
?????

Average. It’s not her best album. Her first three were great. This one was a disappointment over-all. Where’s the rocker Miz? I’ll still listen to her, but not as much as my favorite songs from her like Dreamer and In the Sky. I’ll review her other albums as well, I think….

For now, here is a video of her Good bye, yesterday

Lucky ☆ Star (らき☆すた)

I grew up watching the Dragon Ball series (Among others… of course.. there’s Macross, Ranma, La Blue Girl, and so on…….)

Currently, one of the anime I am following is Lucky Star, from which my cute avatars come from, though I haven’t posted everything. I stole them from a board… (I’m sorry I forgot which, please drop me a note if you know which). It is based on a 4-panel manga like Azumanga Daioh, and it’s crazy like Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuuutsu, but I think it’s way crazier. It has a lot of anime, manga, forum, and game references even otaku events (They actually happened in real life) references. It reminds me a little of Martian Successor Nadesico which has a lot of parodies of other anime, particularly of mecha anime. I haven’t watched a lot of parody anime (I can’t think of the other title that I actually know had a lot of references), but this one is almost overboard… What the heck, I take that back. It is overboard.

The anime is halfway through the series, and they’re about to release Lucky ☆ Star Ending Theme Drama album but it leaked out… While reading, listen to the opening song of Lucky Star - Motteke! Seiraafuku.

KonataLucky Star revolves around 4 girls, but it seems to be centered more on Konata Izumi (泉 こなた). Konata is intelligent, athletic, and skilled, but she is THE hardcore otaku in every sense of the word, that her life revolves around anime, manga, games, forum (image boards, 2ch), and otaku events (Comiket or Comic Market, etc) so much so that she is known as the Legendary Girl A. She takes advantage of her height to get child discounts at movies.

Review: Trattoria Acqua

I’m writing this down here because… because it’s the first time I reviewed a website. =D hahaha… well… =_=

Trattoria Acqua offers La Jolla Banquet Facilities for various functions and events. You can choose from the three Banquet Rooms offered depending on your preference. The Banquet Menus have a wide array of food too choose from, along with a choice between normal and gourmet.

And now, on to the scrutiny.

At first glance, the homepage looks as what the restaurant and the food it serves probably is–colorful and elegant. The colors don’t clash, they all blend well.

I didn’t find a lot to scrutinize on this website. In fact, I can only think of two, and nothing major.

1. Redundancy
For the Menu links (not the restaurant menus), they get redundant. Probably recycling the template, but I would rather if I’m onthe Brunch Menu, then the link to Brunch Menu be either dimmed out or disabled (plain text) or simply removed to signify that I’m on that page. But then, there are two other texts that tell me I’m on that page. One on top (”Trattoria Acqua’s Brunch” in white that is pretty small) and one below the Menu links (that just says “Brunch”). One “Brunch” is enough. Either they put it on the link, or remove it.

The same goes for the Banquet Menus, though the crime only shows up twice. On a side note, I think it’s better if they just keep the white text and increase the font size of that one. And not use white… a deeper orange perhaps.

2. Pictures
They have a very nice picture gallery, and they took pains in taking a pretty picture of almost every crevice in the restaurant. They even have a picture of the view from the place. Why didn’t they put more pictures of the food they serve? The few pictures of the food they have on the website looks very delicious. So why not make the web visitors drool more by putting more pictures. A mouse-over thumbnail would be nice.

Okay, I will say the truth. The descriptions of the food below the names of the dishes mean nothing to me. Almost. I want to know how it looks like. I’m guilty of visual hunger. Sometimes, if something looks delicious, I’m going to have a go at it. So… More pictures please.

On to the basics
Links: All are working.
Colors: Not clashing, no blinking.
Up-to-date: Yeah. it says 2006…. I don’t think it will have changed that much, price-wise.
