MMMiii!

I don’t really know what triggered this. Lately I’ve been going on facebook more and playing more games on it. I wrote about me playing some games on facebook about a year ago. And the funny thing is now, I’m not playing those games anymore. Currently, the games I play on facebook now are Restaurant City, Biotronic, Typing Maniac, Who Has the Biggest Brain, Bejeweled Blitz, and just yesterday, Mafia Wars.

Recently, I find myself checking these games every now and then, and then I’ve also been checking status updates now. Before I didn’t really bother. I couldn’t care less. A couple of days ago, when I went to Quiapo, I subscribed to Globe’s Surf All Day on facebook for P20 for 24 hours. Even though I could check facebook when I get home, even though there’s hardly anything you can do on the mobile version of facebook except check status updates, I still went ahead and got it. And I probably really just used it 4 times, about an hour each. The 4th time, I just forced myself to use it again before it expired because it would be a waste (even though it was really a waste to begin with).

The office is holding a gaming tournament. Apparently, it recognized our constant whines for a proper tournament with either the Wii or the PSP. Unfortunately, the only two games they have for the Wii is some golf sim and a basketball game. I am a fan of basketball games. This includes the console types and the ones in the arcade that spit out redemption tickets. I just don’t understand how the wireless remote can simulate three point shooting accurately. For Golf games however, I am really not too fond of them but the mere fact that it might have a bit or realism to it has actually piqued my interest.

For the sake of a challenge and rare bonding activity I will learn golf. It’s a game anyway and there is no sun to make you three shades darker. No fair greens too though. (I also want to try my hand at driving the golf caddy, hyuk hyuk) Maybe for future references I might actually play a lot more of this game. I have tried the other golf console games but I have never tried swinging a club.

The wireless remote could for the Wii could probably be considered one of the best beginner golf training aids out there in the market. Even if it is a simulation, and it doesn’t have the weight of an actual club. Heck, it won’t even have that meager resistance an actual golf ball could provide… It would probably be fun nonetheless. Other than that, maybe play squash with a baseball bat.

Lately I’ve been playing some games on Facebook. I’m playing Mobwars, Knighthood, Dopewars, and other arcade games. Currently, my favorite is Mobwars. Next would be dopewars. I recently discovered an app on facebook called Classic Games. It’s got Super Mario on flash, Tanks, Duck hunt, tetris rip off, Prince of Persia, Frogger (without the music =/ ), and Invaders.

These really ARE classic games. These games remind me of my chilhood. I’m just a little disappointed with frogger because the music isn’t there. I miss frogger music.

Bah… I’m so old now.

Well, I’ve been trying to sing this since the first day of the year, but there were a few things that hindered me.

First, there were fireworks until January 2. And they really kept on booming in the background. Second, because of the smoke from the fireworks and the change in my work schedule, I developed a cough. Third, I went somewhere. Fourth, I had work. Fifth, my sleep schedule was totally effed.

So… Finally, last night, I was able to record it somewhat properly before getting drunk.

Yesterday, I met with some of my Avo friends to welcome Maki’s birthday. He’s leaving for Taiwan in the couple of days and we probably won’t be seeing him for a while.

I had planned to go to the mall earlier to look around since I’ve never really wandered there. I wanted to go to the Japan Home store where they sold stuff at P88 only. I wanted to look around, go to Hortaleza to check the price of a nipper, or maybe to look at designer inspired jewelry or some other thing to replace the ring I lost. But I had mistakenly remembered the meeting time at Starbucks to be at 7 instead of 6pm which Dyan had SMS’d. So… no more libot.

For dinner, we ate at Sizzling Pepper Steak at TriNoma and at the end of the meal, the waiter gave us a feedback form. On the occupation part, I wrote “Bum.”
