Money Matters
Our team is going global! Meaning, we’ll be THE support group of the other call center sites for our account. Even agents onshore will be calling us for help. It’s kind of amazing and overwhelming, and scary. Probably 10% of our calls are escalations because the customer wants to speak with an onshore representative, and maybe about 10% of that 10%, the customer either agrees to troubleshoot with us or they think they’re already speaking with an onshore representative.
We had this meeting in the room where our former team leader announced that he was leaving us to move to another account and that he’ll be treating us pizza. We couldn’t expect much from him though since he just bought a new car. As we were meeting about the future plans for our team, I was thinking about my own money matters. Since our team will also have delegations from one other site, I was thinking about moving to that other site that’s really a LOT closer to where I live. But the status of the team members there will be different from ours so they said for now it’s not likely.
Right now, for our site, we’ve got free parking. But I don’t have a car. I think I want a truck, though, and buy some truck accessories. I joked about getting a scooter or a bike and just use that for my 40-minute travel back and forth. Pop said he’ll just break my legs if I did that.
Iks said I should just get a car, and he’ll teach me how to drive. >_< I don’t think I can learn how to drive. *sigh*

~Mi — that’s a pity. since i can’t be any more smartalecky w/o being mean, how about this - find a secluded spot in a jerk-free zone and practice there. it’s great for the nerves -_-
