Rain and Puddles
Ondoy or Ketsana was last week. This weekend, we had expected a supertyphoon that even CNN put a close watch on, but it didn’t hit us as hard as expected in the capital. It’s not like we were overreacting at the Category 5 typhoon that wasn’t really going to hit Manila directly, but I think the people were traumatized. We took Ketsana lightly, so Pepeng or Parma, being reportedly stronger, was something we wanted to prepare for.
People did some panic buying supplies like candles, flashlights, and medicine. All the loafed bread were gone in two groceries near my place. In one of the groceries, there was also a shortage of instant noodles.
