Acne, Air Conditioner and Moisturizer

I was having a lot of pimples the past few weeks because I was religiously using my water-based skin moisturizer. It’s supposed to keep my skin from being dry, since I always keep the air conditioner in my room on whenever I’m home, but my skin was drying up. Or so I thought it was the reason. So everyday, I would put this moisturizer on my face. I actually love it. It doesn’t have some strong weird smell and it’s not greasy. And since it’s water-based, I just rub it into my hands and then on my face.

And I just realized now… that for the past few days that I’ve forgotten to put on this moisturizer… I haven’t been having my pimples. It could be because it’s been raining, and it’s not so hot and I’m not sweating so much. It could also be because I stopped using the moisturizer.

I still believe that the best treatments for acne isn’t some strong chemical or fancy facial soaps, but just keeping your face clean and actually NOT using too much stuff on your face. Hence, the reason I thought that the moisturizer wouldn’t be bad for my face because it’s water-based and it didn’t have a lot of chemicals. I’ll experiment, I guess. I’ll try putting on the moisturizer again for a couple of days and see if the pimples come back. >_<~

I think sweating and the ocean (generally, just being in the water and sun) is a healthy way to nice skin (just don’t stay out for 14 hours w/o protection like most pro surfers who end up looking like 65 year old men).

It’s like that Nirvana song… >_>
