My 10 Favorite YouTube Videos

This is a response to Sarah’s Top Ten YouTube Finds. I don’t really have a lot of favorites on YouTube. In fact, about half of my favorite’d videos don’t exist anymore and about half of all of the favorites are just covers. I seldom go YouTube hunting and when I do, it’s usually for concerts, covers, or music videos.

But here are some that I liked enough to favorite, in no specific order.

THE ORIGINAL Scary ‘Mary Poppins’ Recut Trailer
This one is from… Mary Poppins. It’s funny. It uses clips from Mary Poppins and presents it in a scary manner. just watch it.

Less Than Three
Well… The Internet Is Serious Business. Some people even fall in Less Than Three.

Urban Ninja
This is just cool although it kind of looks fake. But it was really fun to watch.

Hilarious japanese library show
This is just … like the title–Hilarious. It’s in Japanese but you don’t really need to understand what they say. basically, 6 guys in a library making a fool of each other or torturing each other. And you know how it is in the library…

Caramell Dansen
This is from an anime that I don’t even know. But search for it on yt and you’ll find a lot of people dancing it. This video, however, is mesmerizing.

NOFX - The Idiots Are Taking Over
This is a conceptual typographic video. I’d say it’s a new form of art. It’s really nice and deep as well.

JerryC - Canon in D Rock
I ripped this into mp3 before. But my hard drive crashed before. So I don’t have the audio anymore. Thank God for yt.

Canon in D Violin Rock - Blow Your Mind version
This is a pretty original arrangement of Canon in D. It kind of reminds me of … barn dancing? Something like that. Sounds country-ish.

NANO + HIMEKA - (not sure of the title)
Himeka finally went to Japan to pursue her dreams of being a singer. NANO’s a wonderful singer as well and I’m sure they just need to get that opportunity to get somewhere. Himeka’s one of my online buddies… more like acquaintances. We have a lot of disagreements but I have always acknowledged her talent. I LOVE her voice. But anywayz, enjoy her performance with NANO. Have I mentioned that I like NANO’s voice too? I LOVE NANO’S voice too. Check out NANO’s YouTube page and LJ as well. She’s got pretty good originals as well. I’d link Himeka’s pages too but … -_-; I wish she’d stop deleting her yt videos and the songs on her wp site.

NANO - Before Your Dreams Fade Away
This will probably be my favorite song of NANO’s. Just listen to it. The video might not be much, but the music will blow you away.

Last but not the least, one of my most favoritest singers, Mimi.

Mis - Aitai yo
Mimi would probably be my bestest friend online. I love her. I love her voice. What else could I say? Oh, check out her Soundclick page as well.

Surge Protectors

I had a call the other day. The woman said something like the lightning hit the transformer outside and knocked out their power, so the transformer had to be replaced. She said there’s nothing wrong with her computer but her internet went out. The internet light is red on the modem and the modem is broken. She said.

Usually, on DSL modems, the DSL light has to be a solid green. That means there is a connection to the network. Then in some, there is an Internet light. That’s the PPPoE or the Authentication. Green would usually mean the modem is authenticated to the network. A red light would usually mean an incorrect username and/or password is in the modem. For some, it means that there is no username and password in it. And still, in some, it means that it is bridged.

Taking these things in account, of course I asked the status of the other lights. They’re all green. But we couldn’t access the modem. Tried troubleshooting the NIC–it seems to have been busted.

I tried explaining to the customer that it’s a possibility that the modem and/or the NIC has been affected by the surge.

They said they get a lot of power surges in the area so they have a surge protector. It’s not possible that something in the computer could have got broken. And it’s just the modem that is broken, not the network card.

——-Start of Irateness of customer——-

well… they seem to think that Surge Protector == will protect all devices forever. and as if their devices are invincible as long as their on surge protectors.

Well… depending on the surge protector, either devices won’t be protected as much, or will be, but only for a certain period of time.

I don’t know … *sigh* If the transformer blew up, I would think it would have taken a lot of … i don’t know… electric current? to make it explode. oh well. I’m constantly on a battle with surge protectors.
