I went to SM North today to watch The Spiderwick Chronicles. It was a pretty good movie. I was literally on the edge of my seat in some parts of the movie and trying hard not to scream or cheer on the characters. Watch it!

After parting with Sarah and Lori, I bought some groceries. I bought some fruits–honeydew and musk melon–and greens like lettuce and something else. And non-fat milk. and Coke Zero.

and a lot of instant noodles. xD

Kind of defeats the purpose, I know. But I haven’t really had the time to eat the said instant noodles. So it’s alright.

I bought some diet pills from one of my teammates before, and I haven’t taken any of it after the first week and a half. It should be an everyday thing… but I always forget. It’s that fat-burner thingo I don’t know.

BUT AT LEAST!!! I try to eat fruits and vegetables… I eat salad whenever I have the chance. =_=” I’m still getting fatter. *sigh*

Graduation is just around the corner. I already have to start having a dress made. T_T It has to be a Filipiniana dress. Why can’t it be just an ordinary beige/ecru/white dress so I’ll still be able to wear it one day? Why does it have to be a Filipiniana dress I’ll never ever wear ever again? A waste of money. I’m starting to wonder if I should even attend it. Oh welllll… *sigh*

There’s this song that I heard a couple of months back. It’s the anime movie Byousoku 5cm or 5cm per Second. Well, the song is old. I know I’ve heard it somewhere before when I heard it from the movie… I mean, when they used it for the anime, it was kind of like a revival, as what we would call it here. And the movie is actually a series of segments, or short films, basically about relationships and distance.

I liked the movie, although I can’t give a full review right now. I’ll have to watch it again. But I kind of was able to relate to this movie. It was a little slow all throughout the movie… as if it was moving 5cm per second, but it was at a pace wherein you wouldn’t want it to rush nor slow down.

For a person like me who’s got a lot of close friends online, who I might not ever meet, distance is such a big thing and a small thing at the same time. The distance doesn’t keep us apart from being friends, but there are times when you wish the distance wasn’t there at all.

The ending song for the movie was what made me think of a lot of things. It made me think of the past, the present, and the future. Even before I was able to find a translation, just the mood of the song and from what little I could understand from it made me think about the what if’s in my life… the what could’ve been’s… It made me think of the things I wanted when I was a child, and the things I wanted and never got, which is probably a lot. It made me think about the dolls I saw and wanted and never got. It made me think of the other toys I had wanted. It made me think of the playhouses and the swing sets I wanted to have.

For the present, it made me think of the things I have to go through now, the things I let go in the past and now living with regrets and what I’ve got left, the things that make me ask myself, “Am I Happy?”

For the future, it made me think, or wonder, if I’ll be in the same state or the same place where I am now. Will I be able to move on for good, and all that emo stuff.

I was up yesterday for like 40 hours right, and I woke up 2ish. And sometime around 4, I got hungry. I was about to cook my usual Pancit Canton since I was craving for noodles, and I was rummaging through my assortment of different flavors of those, wondering what I’d want to eat. I have Japanese Ramen, Yakisoba, Local pancit canton (payless), Korean Shin Ramyeun and Chinese chowmein and soup. All of these are instant.

And then I saw my linguini noodles that I bought about a month ago, so I thought, “Hey, I feel like eating noodles.”

So I opened the pack of noodles, got about one-forth of it, and got my instant Creamy Garlic pasta mix.

I filled some water in a pot and sat on one of the bar stools and waited for the water to boil.

I got bored and went back inside since I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I went back to my room and started playing on facebook again then I started thinking that the amount of noodles I’m cooking might not be enough, that someone might come along and taste my 4am-pasta, so I got more noodles. Then I thought that the sauce might not be enough, but I didn’t have any Creamy Garlic so I got the Herb&Garlic mix.

My original plan was to make two separate sauces, but I ended up mixing them. Because I was getting bored and wanted to go inside as soon as possible and the noodles were taking their sweet time to cook.

But it was good. No cheese needed. It was wonderful.

Pop woke up in time to wash my mess XD

I was awake for 40 hours until I finally got to sleep. And now I’m awake. I wonder what’s wrong with me! Lately, it’s been really hard to sleep. And then at work, I always feel sick, like I’m always coughing, have various pains and everything. Might need to look into some medicare supplements or I don’t know… Vitamins maybe?

Maybe I should start taking Taba’s Vitamin C tablets. It’s for humans in the first place, and he doesn’t like it. Or more like, he’s kind of big now, it’s getting hard to force medicine into him. He’s always staying outside with the outdoor dogs who’s got a better resistance to diseases, so maybe he’ll be able to adapt as well.

Wahh… Anyway, in that 40 days of being awake, I was able to do 2 shifts at work. I’ve also been playing around in Facebook. I’ve turned into a facebook addict in such a short span of time. I remember when Sagar was always telling me to “CHECK FACEBOOK!!!” because of the invites to some applications.

It doesn’t help that my team leader told us to add an application (which I kind of messed up with his instructions that never got to me) and I’ve been playing with that for a while now. It’s a pretty neat application anyway.

Aa~ah. I don’t think I’ve ever been asleep for more than 12 hours straight, except that time when I was so sick. And now I want to go back to sleep. Maybe later…

Lately, I’ve been having massive head and toothaches and I’ve been visiting the clinic a lot. Although I know we shouldn’t treat the clinic like a drug store and keep getting medicine from them because it’s free, I still kind of do. I go in, ask for mefenamic acid, then the person inside gives it to me. I’m not even sure if that person is the doctor or the nurse since they don’t have any medical id tags that would make me distinguish them. OTL …. pain.

Even with all these aches, I’m still happy. I got my first commendation today. My customer wanted to speak with my supervisor after I resolved her issue and she was just so happy that she wanted to talk with my boss. Bleh… it hurts my stats, but it feels good nonetheless.

I also kind of broke my customer’s computer… but not really. I just happened to be there and guide her into breaking it. Ah… well. It wasn’t really my fault, but I still feel bad. And that was my last call as well. =/

I’m just going to write about what I’ve learned at work lately. This could also be helpful for some people, I hope. Anyway, I’m a tech support agent, tier 1, for a DSL ISP in the US. What I could write here may be true for that ISP, but not for others, but some could also be true. Who knows.

1. No Sync

This one means that there is no connection between the modem and the DSLAM, or “network.” This is what I usually tell my customers, “There seems to be no connection between your modem and our network.” Why do I replace DSLAM with network? Because there ARE some pretty computer illiterate customers and it’s just easier that way.

Signs: Flashing DSL light in most modems. Some may be called the Ready light.

This is a big problem for IFITL customers or those who are connected with fiber cables or just an Ethernet cable. They don’t need a modem, so whenever they’ve got a problem with connection, it almost always ends up in a truckroll or a technician coming over their place.

Fixes: Powercycling or hard resetting the modem, checking cabling and filters, and Electromagnetic Interferences like speakers, location, and sending a technician over. This does not require any advanced troubleshooting and the computer usually does not need to be touched, except for configuration of the modem.

Carpets can also affect this since it may cause static. Some customers put their modems on their floors, and sometimes they happen to be carpets. It’s frustrating for them sometimes. Sometimes we can’t do anything from our side but to send someone over to check both indoor and outdoor physical connections.

Today marks my 2nd month at my work. I started there on the 10th of December, and now it’s Feb 10th. How time flies.

And I know, some people have noticed that I hardly write on my blog anymore, and when I do, they’re just ads. I really do try to write non-sponsored posts, though. I really do. Sometimes, I can force a keyword in, and make it seamless. But sometimes, I just can’t. It’s so hard. I mean, how the heck can I casually insert the words “van rack” and make it seamless? XD

But enough of that. Right now, I’m somewhat enjoying my work. Sure, there are ups and downs, and it’s really challenging, dealing with different kinds of people, wanting needing to please them to reach that Customer Satisfaction goal. And ever since we’ve moved to production (really working now, not just training), I sometimes stay behind for the team huddle and discuss stuff like what wrongs we did and so on.

Last Friday, I FINALLY got my first survey and CSat, so I was happy going home. I went shopping, I’ve mentioned in an earlier post, but not the reason for treating myself. Well, it was because of my SAT (Customer was Satisfied).

I may or may not stay in this industry, but if I do decide to stay, I have better plans, a better position in mind. I won’t be staying as a lowly agent forever. XD

Anyway, back to the huddles. Because of these huddles, what happens is we stay an extra 2 or so hours after our shift. Sometimes I get home almost 6pm because of these unpaid huddles. I do want to become better, so I stay and discuss. But it gets a little taxing.

Marco is in town and I didn’t know. Dyan’s been texting people. I want to go for dinner with them but I have work at 4am, I need to leave here by 2am so I can be at work by 3am and have a good station. *sigh* I’ll be seeing them some other time.

Someone requested me to sing this song in English. I don’t watch the anime this song came from, but since I do the music releases (most of the time) for Baka-Wolf, I sometimes listen to music from anime that I don’t watch. And this is one of them. It was crazy, I couldn’t understand anything. Then I realized it was in English XD. So… xess asked me to sing the song in English, not in Engrish.

I actually like the song, after I heard the full version. It kind of reminds me of the Beatles and Tommy (Tommy heavenly6/february6/ of the brilliant green). If you read the lyrics below, they don’t really make sense. That and the Engrishness of the song, it’s almost like a totally different language.

To be honest, I think it doesn’t really sound good in English. But since this is really just for fun anyway… I myself wondered as well how it would sound in English. Well… Here it is, the non-Engrish version of Ringo Biyori. By the way, I just kind of made up the background vocals because I couldn’t make out all of them and sound nice at the same time. x_x
