Sayounara, 2007
The year 2007 has passed and I welcomed 2008 more excitedly. The past year has given me a lot of experiences that has allowed me to be where I am right now. They weren’t all happy experiences but they weren’t so bad either.
I must say, however, that I feel like half the year passed by so swiftly, I hardly felt it. I can only remember tidbits here and there of what I’ve done in the first half of the year. But who cares?
Notable things that happened last year:
- I met BokBok and Poknat, the chow-chows. I liked dogs, but I learned to REALLY love dogs last year.
- I walked home from school for a month and a half. I’ve always wanted to do that again, ever since I moved to another place. I used to be able to walk home from my high school. Those were really fun times.
- I changed plans–a LOT of plans–for someone, and sometimes I wonder if it was really worth it or not. I guess I’ll just say that… it was a memorable experience.
- I became a teacher, aside from being a student. I grew up a little, at the same time overcoming a little of my shyness. I’m not so shy anymore. But still am… a little.
- I received FLOWERS! Bouquets (3 I think?)! A huge teddy bear! And a whole bunch of chocolates (20 boxes… lol). For the first time. I really felt special those times. Too bad I didn’t write about those times on this blog. But yeah, I guess… I’m the romantic type. I liked the feelings I had when I got those. Albeit guilty.
- I learned to accept people as they are. I learned to forgive people for pretending to be someone else when they’re not. Loving and accepting people with all their flaws and mistake. It’s sad that it didn’t turn out as well as I expected. But like I’ve said already… It was a memorable experience.
- I was able to get some of the things I wanted. My mp3 player, which I’ve earned by myself, and this MacBook I am currently using, which was given to me after wishing for a laptop for almost forever. It wasn’t exactly what I wanted, but I’m thankful nonetheless. I’m currently loving my mac.
- I opened a bank account! And saved.
- I’ve bought clothes this year more than what I’ve bought for the past 10 years.
- I was able to hold a huge amount of money–cash!–at one time. Well, it was huge for me. Hopefully, I’ll be holding a bigger amount in my hands someday. XD
- I started buying groceries for myself instead of letting Papa buy them for me.
- I started earning online.
- I got a pet dog. I gave one away. One of the dogs here died as well.
- I had a lot of cables chewed up by my puppy.
- I got a job. It’s not a teaching job. It’s a call center agent job. So what if people think lowly of it? I must say that it’s really hard work dealing with people and everything. It’s a lot like teaching, except that your customers are your students and you get a longer time to build rapport, unlike in CCs.
- I finished studying. And I’m going to graduate soon. Actually, I think it has become official already last month. I need to drop by on Thursday.
Hmmm… I probably missed some. Oh well.
2008 is the year of the Rat. That means this is the third time for me to live in a year of the rat. >.> Go figure.
Plans for 2008:
- GRADUATE! MARCH!
- Study Japanese seriously somewhere.
- Review for the Licensure Examination for Teaching (???) (LET) and take it???
- Diet >_>
- Accomplish something.
- Get a new cellphone.
- Upgrade my PC to at least twice its current performance.
- ^ To be filled out someday. The abovementioned plans were just the stuff I’ve been planning to do since last year. Who knows, I might start planning something else soon. :D
Well… That’s all for now.
I may have been really depressed this past holiday season, but I’ve decided to let go of that with 2007. A new year, a new beginning. The past year wasn’t so bad, but I do admit that there are some things I wished that never happened at all. I made some a lot of mistakes. I wasn’t really that good of a person.
Jaa… Sayounara, 2007. Tanoshikatta wa.
