Occupation: Bumming
Yesterday, I met with some of my Avo friends to welcome Maki’s birthday. He’s leaving for Taiwan in the couple of days and we probably won’t be seeing him for a while.
I had planned to go to the mall earlier to look around since I’ve never really wandered there. I wanted to go to the Japan Home store where they sold stuff at P88 only. I wanted to look around, go to Hortaleza to check the price of a nipper, or maybe to look at designer inspired jewelry or some other thing to replace the ring I lost. But I had mistakenly remembered the meeting time at Starbucks to be at 7 instead of 6pm which Dyan had SMS’d. So… no more libot.
For dinner, we ate at Sizzling Pepper Steak at TriNoma and at the end of the meal, the waiter gave us a feedback form. On the occupation part, I wrote “Bum.”
Yes, that is the perfect word to describe what I occupy myself with lately. If you’ve noticed, I’ve also been lazy writing blog posts. It’s funny that when I was still doing student-teaching, there were nights when I was supposed to be doing Lesson Plans or something else more important (like sleeping) but instead, I’d waste my time blogging, sponsored or not. There were times when I was really into an idea and I just HAD to write it down.
Now, an idea pops up in my head and what do I do? Sleep. Eat. Ignore it. Do something else. Heck, I haven’t even caught up with my anime. Whatever happened to the “Once I finish school, I am going to go on an anime marathon for a month” line? Gone. “Once I finish school, I am going to sleep.” <— I keep sleeping, on and off. During the daytime. And when night time comes, I can’t sleep. I end up sleeping in the morning. *Sigh* Bum.
Anyway, back to Maki’s birthday celebration, we went drinking after playing at the arcade where we played basketball, hammer thingie, and zombie shooting (House of the Dead #X, I forgot the number). We drank beer (San Mig Light) and Blue Margarita. Lori said it was like juice. I said it was strong. I drank about half a pitcher. I was sooooooo drunk when I got home. Though, even if I was drunk, I KNEW that the taxi driver had a funky meter.
This morning, the Internet (Lori and I came up with this a few days ago. Internet - WWW - Wicked Witch of the West -> Pop’s Mother who lives in the US) told my Pop while I was on my way back to my room that it’s good that my cousins don’t go out with friends and they just play at home.
I BET THAT FREAKIN’ COMMENT WAS FOR ME.
SO WHAT IF I GOT HOME DRUNK? HUH?
AT LEAST I HAVE FRIENDS.
:<
Besides, we had this system to send an SMS to each other when we get home to make sure that everyone was safe. That’s pretty cool I think.
*sigh*
No use to get mad at the Internet.
“I don’t care. I don’t care. I don’t care.”
Mantra :D
On a side note: The Avo (and Bec *nudges Sarah) should make a “Where Are We Now” chart I think. Just for fun and to update each other on what each is up to.
