Getting Insured
A few days ago, Eelai was talking about how she accompanied her friend to get insurance money, and how hard it was to get the insurance money of the friend’s policeman husband who died in the line of duty. This life insurance was from an insurance company that served the police force specifically, and all the policemen were secured. Getting it was such a pain in the behind. The man died already, the wife already begrieved and they were still being given problems.
I told her that one of the student teachers when I was in my practicum told me to invest in life insurance and I scoffed at it and said that it was a waste of money. Eelai said that it WAS a good investment, but it depends on the insurance. The one she had was a dual purpose or something. She said, however, that she wouldn’t bother taking it out if she does reach that certain age because it might not cost much when the time comes. The terms were P12000 a month, and she got that insurance thing 5 years ago.
