Boom! Martial Law?

With the bomb explosion at Glorietta 2 yesterday, several questions are being raised.

What was the motive of the bombing? Who was behind it?
I can’t help but notice the timing. GloMac’s currently in hot water for the alleged bribes, and of course, I wouldn’t put it past her to be behind the bombings so people would steer away from her current issues. There’s just too much controversy regarding the explosion. What’s worse is innocent people got hurt.

Letting Go

And so Pop’s mom came home and will be staying here for a month.

I wasn’t awake when she arrived last night, and this morning, Eelai greeted me “Good morning” and I asked, “What’s good with the morning?” knowing that she’s just in her room, enjoying the air-conditioner, racking up the electric bill. Eelai was also telling me about their trip home from the airport. They were telling her about the dogs, and she said “Ukinina! ano’ng akala niyo sa bahay ko, kennel? (Son of a bitch! What do you think of my house, a kennel?)” and after that everyone in the car just went quiet–my Pop included.

The Fall of The Ring

I feel sad. Two days ago, I came home carrying a ton of crap. I had 2 plastic bags of papers, and then I bought milk for Taba at the grocery, I had an organizer envelope, and of course my big back pack.

The RingOn the way home, several times I felt my ring on my pinkie slipping off. When I woke up next morning… I hadn’t noticed that it was gone. I only realized it was gone the next night, last night =_=;;

What’s so special about this ring? I’ve had it for years… It’s a silver 4-piece puzzle ring. My bro’s friend Joe gave it to me. I BEGGED him to give it to me… and then I lose it just like that…

Me And The Ring

I don’t think I can find a replacement for it. A hundred diamond rings won’t be enough to replace the value it has.
True, it’s so dirty because I’m acidic, and that I’ve almost lost it once or twice, and it’s always been a little loose… but still… I love that ring.

*sad*

I blame school for losing my ring. T_T

Filipinos and Racism

There have been recent news of the Filipinos being the butt of jokes in sitcoms(?) or funny shows (sorry, I don’t watch TV) and I’m really getting annoyed with the reaction of some people who are like “Oh, I’m so nationalistic, I don’t want you maligning my race.”

Why is it that Filipinos joke and malign other races and nationalities but when THEY become the butt of jokes, they get mad? I mean, we’ve got all these American, Chinese, and Japanese <and insert other nationality here> kinds of jokes with the Filipino coming out as the winner and the others as losers. We have all sorts of derogative terms for other races like the Kano’s and Puti’s (Americans),

Tattoos

I remember watching this movie, Yentown or Swallowtail Butterfly. It’s a Japanese movie set in Japan during the 60s when the Japanese Yen was like gold. One of the most symbolic scenes there was when the young female protagonist got a butterfly tattoo and “grew up.”

When I watched that movie, I developed a fascination for Butterfly Tattoos –their beauty, designs, colors, and every thing about it.

Looking at tattoos, there’s this website, BullseyeTattoos, that has thousands of tattoo designs in different categories. The butterflies section alone has more than 900 designs to choose from, and you can get these designs in just three easy steps, then you’ll be on your way to having your very own butterfly tattoo.

They also have an article on butterfly tattoos and their meanings and other information. So pretty… I wanted to have butterflies on my blog layout before because of my fascination, but gave up on it because there weren’t any nice layouts with butterflies that time… Oh well. :D

Blog Ed 101: Blogging and Education

I attended the Bloggers Kapihan event at MonSay yesterday and I must say, it was very informative. It was called Bloggers Kapihan 2.0: Blog Ed 101. Before it started, I went to Cubao and met with Mama and I got myself a new wristwatch! And then I went to MonSay and climbed a mountain. With a not-yet-fully-healed sprain, it was really a high mountain to climb. I chatted with Mr. Lalon dela Rosa about the CEP, school stuff, future plans, what’s wrong with the Philippines and the Filipinos and a lot of other stuff. That was for about an HOUR (The event started late).  And then I asked questions… voiced my opinions… and stuff… The pancake donut thing of Mr Donuts is gewd!

I registered as “Mi” again. Maybe I should write Miii instead? Lalon asked me, “Why Mi?” maybe I should make up something prophetic… nanchatte :D (darnit! I still can’t figure out how to make wordpress accept japanese characters again T_T)

Oh. Ok. the forum.

The first speaker was Prof Danny Arao of UP Diliman and Bulatlat.com.

Crystal Skies Forum

I KEEP FORGETTING TO POST ABOUT THIS.

I wanted to start a forum before but I was worried that people wouldn’t post anyway. When Mimi  asked about starting a forum, I jumped on the chance.

So…

Presenting Crystal-Skies Forum. It is co-owned by Mi with Mis.

It’s a hodgepodge of topics… but it was made mainly because of Karaoke singing. However, we Karaoke singers aren’t only into singing. We’re also into anime, manga, drama, and other stuff….

Teacher Resources for Filipinos Plan

Plan? What plan?

A couple of people have already said they have my support, that I should continue this dream. Sadly, I have no definite plan as of yet.

aaahh… I’ll try now.

Contents:

  • Forum
  • Lesson Plans and Activities
  • Teacher Blogs (?)
  • Education News
    • Local
    • International
  • Resources, Links
  • WebQuests
  • Student Portal
    • Study Guides
    • Forum?

Shall I use the Wiki software?

And then… how am I going to divide it? By topic or subject area? I mean should I put each subject area below Lesson Plans and activities and so on, or should they fall under the subject areas?

Waaaahhh Ano’ng gagawin ko? Ni hindi ko pa nga bayad si bratyfly!!! Active pa kaya yung account ko sa pinoyhosting.net? May abandoned kasi akong webspace dun..pero… pero…. waaaahhh.. Nagpapanic na ko!

In short, what use are big dreams if you don’t have plans?
What use are plans if you don’t do them?

I HAVEN’T EVEN PICKED A DOMAIN NAME! AOMAI GAWSH!

Last Day of Student-Teaching

My sweet students gave me a card (each class) …

Today was my last day of in-class teaching. All that’s left are to check papers, check more papers, revise all my lesson plans, do more stuff as a student (papers, requirements), give make-up quizzes and other stuff!!!!

ALMOST DONE!~ As much as I love them, I want to graduate sooooon.

oh oh… at the start of Gold’s class, when I greeted them “Good Afternoon” they all said good afternoon together… in harmony! It was so nice… I wish I could’ve recorded it, though it’ll always be in my heart. It was really nice…
