Online Banking

I use BPI… It’s not really an online savings account, but I can do some banking online. It’s not even really fully online. In order for some services to work, you either have to go to the nearest bank near you or call them up. It’s a little inconvenient, but hey, they don’t have excessive bank charges for everything you do with it. In fact, there aren’t really any charges for online banking… It charges through other means, very expensive means. — not really.

Is it safe, you ask?

With this system wherein you have to go to a bank before you could ACTIVATE your online account, or enroll a bank account before you could electronically transfer funds from one account to another… Yes, I think it’s safe. Your only worry would be if you get hacked, someone might send prepaid credit to your phone XD

I think, however, that current accounts are automatically enrolled online as well. I can’t remember…

At least I’m not afraid of BPI suddenly closing and becoming a totally online bank–at least not in 50 years with our current system and economy.
