Miii’s Money

To those who are following my blog, I am sorry about the ads. But I make money out of it. I usually try to relate it to my real content, but sometimes it is not possible.

I only really write for two paid-blogging services. PayU2Blog and PayPerPost.

Teaching: Not Just A Profession

They say that Teaching is not just a profession. It’s a calling. It’s a round-the-clock job, a 24/7 occupation.

Why do I say so?

  1. You are not just a teacher in school. If someone sees you off campus, a student or a parent or even just anyone, on a weekend or after-school hours, they will always see you as a teacher. Therefore, you have to be careful of how you dress, act, or talk. You’re not allowed to be caught wearing sexy costumes even if you’re not in school.
  2. You think of your lessons and your students even if you’re not in school.
  3. You have to plan lessons and activities after your job, at home, or while on the road going to and from school.
  4. There are nights when you dream of them.

That’s all for now. The list, I mean.

In case you’re wondering why I haven’t been writing about my student-teaching days here, it’s because I’m really not writing about it at all, even on my physical journal. Right now, I am utterly hating it. REALLY.

At The TimDnx bday party, when I played facilitator for the Mafia game, there was a time when they weren’t listening to me. And I kind of felt like how it was during class, the students not shutting up when I tell them to. It kind of makes me sad.

Ironically, I have big plans of setting up a website for educational resources for teachers in the Philippines. I even plan on spending on it.

I haven’t decided on a domain name yet, but I want it to sound very Pinoy-ish. Here are my options so far:

  • GurongPinoy.com/.net (Reminds me of bobongpinoy.com)
  • FilipinoTeacher.com/.net
  • TheFilipinoTeacher.com/.net (parang cool to pakinggan xD)
  • Titser.org (i’m not to keen on this because of the ‘tits’ there, but it’s the Filipino spelling of ‘teacher’)
  • Guro.ph (If only I could afford a .ph domain… a .ph domain would be REALLY cool for my purpose)

I’ll write a full post on my plans some other day, like contents, resources, contributors, and possible sponsorships. These are just quick random ideas… But comments and suggestions are welcome already.

I still don’t want to be a teacher though. Am I weird?
