Student-teaching day 20
I woke up a little late and I was able to leave the house just enough to get to school by 10, but a car crash, or rather a motorcycle crash, caused a traffic jam on my way. Good thing it didn’t really last long, but it was enough to delay me a lot.
I got there almost exactly at 10:30 but since I knew I didn’t have a class yet, I didn’t feel very much rushed. But Ma’am saw me and told me I should help her. Then I remembered she was going to let them listen to something. I couldn’t let her carry the boombox by herself.
Ma’am’s class was as fun as usual.
We had a meeting for mainly the topics for projects and how to go about it. Justin and I agreed on “sacrifice” as the topic for theme writing.
My class was rowdy and childish as usual. They liked the song and we drew out the ballad characteristics from it. Their presentations were varied. Some were unified and some were almost nonsense. I gave L.@.N.’s boys a zero for not performing/cooperating. I told them that if they didn’t start on their presentation in 10 second, they were going to get a zero. They kept on snickering in front and wasted time. I said “Next group in front.” Then they walked out and stayed out. At that time I couldn’t give a damn.
I was shouting, kind of, to beat their noise. Which wasn’t good.
I always feel vocally exhausted after class.
Ma’am said I should just stare at them.
