Student-teaching day 19

Ma’am Teret observed me in class. I admit I was VERY nervous. I even had a panic attack last night… I hardly slept.

I missed some points in the discussion like the time span. I was a little lifeless while reading the poem. I wasn’t able to tie up the chores with the poem although I asked them… I think… but didn’t push it.

Ma’am said I was a little stiff as well but I do normally go around and even sit on empty seats with the students like during presentations. I was just really nervous that time.

I gave Joanna her make-up test. Justine actually. Because he couldn’t find the questions. But he knew the questions from seeing the answers. he asked me if he should give the bonus questions. I said yes. He said he doesn’t give bonus questions during make-up tests. Maybe I should’ve said no.

I finished checking everything today. Maybe that was the reason I feel somewhat relaxed.

The Virus has been eliminated

I’m sorry to those who will link me from now on, but I can’t keep up with the linking updates of the Viralinks, Viral Tags, and Viral Icons.

I was debating on whether to just delete the posts or just stop updating. I think it would be more unfair to those who do have me on their lists if I just delete the posts along with the links because that would delete my outgoing links as well… sooo…

I’m sorry again. :(

Random Thoughts 01

Daddi and I were talking about Sugars.

He said that Sugar is Pure Energy.

There’s an artist here with the title of “Mr Pure Energy” and he’s a Type 1 (?) Diabetic (that one wherein the person couldn’t even eat fruits because of the sugar content)

So…

if Sugar = Pure Energy

by transitivity …

Mr Pure Energy is Mr Sugar then?

:D Mr Sugar is diabetic

Always use coupon codes

Always use online coupons when buying stuff online. They usually would save you a lot. There are some promotions online that you won’t be able to avail of in their physical stores. There’s just enough space for their products to display and they still have a lot of stuff in their stock rooms that they cannot put outside in their stores. This is where their online shops come in, because they can showcase these other undisplayable products without taking up a huge chunk of space. Check out the available coupons for Best Buy coupon codes for example. They have a 15% - 25% Off on select Anime DVD box sets which lasts until June 28.

Use coupon codes to save money. Even if it’s just a couple of cents off, when you think of how much you’ve saved in the end if it accumulates, you’ll find out that you’ve saved a lot.

Student-teaching Day 20

My ST observed me in class today for the monthly evaluation. I was nervous. She said I was somewhat stiff and shy because I stayed at the front center most of the time. She told me to let of my reservations because a teacher is not just one who teachers. All teachers should be performers. I should forget my inhibitions and just let go and be my happy self.

About just staying in front, I didn’t think there was much need to move around today (though now I realize that I did) but in normal class days, I do move around because I have to go near some of the students when they recite … I couldn’t hear them with all the noise. Sometimes getting the kids to shut up will just be a waste of time. They would usually listen to their classmates, so I depend on that sometimes.

She said I should’ve read the poem (Get Up and Bar the Door) with more feelings. I thought I was already reading it with feelings, but after she demonstrated, I guess I really didn’t. I guess my singing is also truly emotionless sometimes if I couldn’t distinguish emotionlessness and with emotions.

Two of my students, however, said that they enjoy my class, far better than some of the past student-teachers they’ve had. They said that they understand what’s happening or what we’re talking about in class even if they’re only half-listening.

I think that was bull. But I’ll take it as a compliment nonetheless. One of my students thought I was 20 years old. I’ll take that as a compliment as well.

We discussed “Get Up and Bar the Door” as a poem itself today. On Thursday, we’re going to tackle on the ballad and hopefully finish the lesson. By Friday, It’s going to be Canterbury tales. I need to start doing the Lesson Plan. o.o
