Student-teaching day 16

We worked on definitions today again. Ma’am told me about the pair-work and I said I would do that as well. The kids enjoyed but sometimes they went overboard.

One of the words they had to define was “UPIS” and a pair answered that it was  where fine and respectful students study. I told them that I didn’t think it was true and accurate, and they asked me why. In turn, I asked them if speaking at the same time when someone else was talking was respectful. That kind of shut them up for a few seconds, but it was just that–only a few seconds.

I told them to answer the exercises in their grammar modules.

I think my LP will be okay already.

Oh yeah, in class, Christine told me not to say “Please” when I told the class to “please answer page blah blah.” She said, “Ma’am, no ‘please.’ Just say ‘answer these’.”

A lesson learned. I need to be careful from now on.

Cash Advance

I was reading about cash advance and I thought of my brother. I’ve blogged about this ages ago but I might as well reiterate it.

Back when he was earning PhP 20k/month (He doesn’t have a job at the moment) and I was getting my regular PhP 2k/month, he would sometimes borrow money from ME. He always had these random nameless girlfriends he’d spend so much on like buying cellphones for them and their whole race.

I was like his personal cash advance company. And of course, I charged interest in cash or kind. Whenever he gets his paycheck, I require him to treat me to Jollibee (and end up getting more than 10% of what he owed me… though I wish it was cash) or to something else. He never really gives me cash interest which sucks big time. But I guess it’s better than asking for an extra PhP 100 for every PhP 500 he borrows… because I sometimes end up buying almost PhP 300 worth of food at Jollibee.

Good deal? Great deal!

Yu’s Couch

I have this sort of promise with Yu that one day I’m going to let him live on my couch. But what kind of home furniture should I get so that I get a couch that could accommodate him? Should it be a leather set with glass and chrome? Rattan (kind of wood thing usually locally used)? Or just the cheap wood and foam pillows and stuff?

humm… I guess when I do get rich enough, I’ll let him choose his own couch.

PayU2Blog!

I wonder how these paid blogging programs pay their affiliates or bloggers? Through a payroll software? Is it like automated that whenever one finishes a blog post with an ad and send the link, it automatically adds to that person’s credit? Or is it manually checked and added by certain someones one by one. PayU2Post mentioned something about a payroll before July 4 because of the holiday. The compensation period was supposed to end at the 6th last week but because of the holiday or something, they moved it to before the holiday … Or something like that.

I already got my $10 from there but I’m waiting for more payments so I get more in bulk. I’m so excited to get more!
