Clothes

During my first week as a student teacher, I kept wearing formal clothes–pretty blouse, slacks, 3 inch high closed leather shoes.

This week, I didn’t wear anything that needed ironing (except that one shirt that was really badly rumpled that Mama ordered me to iron it or she’ll iron it with me wearing it).

Because I suddenly have more “decent” clothes that need to be hangered, I’m using my closet more often now than for the past 4 years. My closet has some sort of under cabinet lighting but for some reason, it doesn’t work. Faulty wiring somewhere, because the .. lightbulb holder thingie has been replaced more than once. It works for a while, then doesn’t work anymore. I’ve kind of given up on it already.

But now, it has become a little harder because I need the clothes there and I couldn’t see them properly, so I have to pull out each one of them a little into the light, and put them back, getting them rumpled even after I spent a loooong time ironing.

I NEED TO GET IT FIXED!

Air Conditioning

When I got home yesterday, Iks and Eelai had just arrived because they had their repair’s made to the Auto air conditioning of their car. It was good because it sucks when you’re driving and you have to keep the windows open to let air in because it would be too hot inside. The fans were just blowing hot air as well.

Eelai was like… “Waaaa I haven’t slept yet” when I got home. She’s so funny and cute. A couple of months ago, when the temperature was reaching its peaks, she’d take the Chow Chows inside the car and just let them cool down with the air conditioner.

Speaking of air conditioner, I actually have an air conditioner in my room as well… but Papa cut off the plug so I couldn’t use it. It is totally not fun.

Student-teaching day 13

The first half of the class was fun. I could see that they really enjoyed. I did too.

I asked them to pretend that they were in a movie production team and they needed to prepare a poster with cast names and how they saw Beowulf as a hero or what they thought of heroism. They were also supposed to present a trailer/teaser/commercial to go along with their poster and they were all very creative.

After they presented, I asked them to then define heroism and I wrote some of the answers on the board. I asked what kind of people, what class– this was supposed to be an introduction for the next lesson which is on definitions, but they seem to have been too excited with the activity that they got tired and they weren’t very responsive anymore.

It was frustrating to watch their expectant eyes and I couldn’t draw the correct answers from them, even after I asked questions answerable by yes or no. I need to start hurrying with the lessons.
