I’m going to join the Philippine Blog Communities

Might as well. But not now.

I’ll follow Sarah’s links.

Muahahaha. I remember when there was the Blag! community when the pinoy bloggers were just starting to emerge.

Now back to my lesson plan.

I’m cranky.

I told Daddi to shut up and go to sleep so I could concentrate on my LP. Right after saying that I regretted it and said sorry. Good thing he understands what I’m going through. I love him so much.

I signed up for PPP!

Finally! Something that seems would work faster!

I just signed up for PayPerPost. You blog about something from their and you get paid much, much more. This is a good kind of blog marketing. Although I have only earned $5.00 so far, it seems promising. I’ve only joined a couple of days ago, so I haven’t had that much opportunities yet, but soon, SOON! I shall conquer the world with it!

I’ll probably start having new friends after this post. I’ll start having more blogs linking to my blog.

I thought about making my blog under a specific topic, but I realized that I just have much too much to talk about. And when I get into a slump again, I’ll just check PayPerPost’s blogging opportunities. I get to keep my blog from being stagnant AND get paid at the same time. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

So click join PayPerPost too and start earning money like me. :)

Culture Clash

Dan’s father died (may he rest in peace) and I was chatting with Vani. We were agreeing on how to meet each other so we could go to the wake. She started saying some things that she shouldn’t do, like go near the casket, or to not even go to the wake at all, because she wasn’t a relative. And then she had to know the Chinese Zodiac sign of the father so she could bring something. There was also something like she had to go to the wake at a specific date. She shouldn’t go straight home after going to the wake.

I told her that maybe she could stay outside the door if she really wants to avoid it and I would call Dan to meet her outside the door, and she said “Wouldn’t that be disrespectful?”

And then we talked a little about the difficulties of having different cultures. We live in the same country but we have so many traditions and cultures. Things we can’t do in the Chinese Culture could be perfectly alright with the rest of the Filipinos, and some things you can’t do in the Filipino culture that you can’t do with the pure-blooded Chinese .

America, America

Remember West Side Story? There was this part where they were singing how America was so great and wonderful. West Side Story is celebrating it’s 50th year this year. I want to watch it.. The production I watched of it was a high school production which really sucked. I read that the story still has social Relevance until now, which is pretty cool. Racial differences, and so on.

But anyway, Filipinos are generally using Standard American English pronunciation…but not really. I mean, not that much. At least we try to. We still have our own pronunciations of words and so on. (And I just found out that AWRY is pronounced like Tagalog “aray” and not “aww-ree”
