Swimming Fiasco and Women Beaters

27 June, 2007 (18:52) | Life, Music, Philippines, Relationships, Women | By: Mi

I hate a lot of kinds of people, but probably the worst kinds are the guys who beat women up.

Last Saturday, we went out swimming at Pansol, Laguna with Iks, his gf Eelai, Orc, his gf (I shall not disclose the name), my cousin James and his gf Deb, Joe and gf Jas, Tachi, and Moj.

Swim Gang!~

v(^_^)v - Yes, i had a shirt on.

Tachi doesn’t have a gf, but he’s probably got some girl hidden away. Moj is already engaged to be married this October. I felt left out. XD We had fun. The pool water was warm and there was karaoke. I sang at the top of my lungs. I was screaming. Haha… I asked the house owner if it was okay that we were so loud that night. He said it was already a way of life there. Business was business. I feel sorry for the kids. I saw school uniforms hanging on the clotheslines.

The night was not to be left untarnished, however.

Orc started a fight with his gf and at first we didn’t want to interfere, but when he was starting to beat her up pretty bad, the guys and Eelai intervened. I didn’t want to join in. I stayed with James and Deb. I guess I didn’t feel grown-up enough to deal with this.

The first time the parties calmed down a little, Tachi was fuming. He hated seeing women getting hurt. Moj, later on told me and James and Deb, said that he wouldn’t give a damn since it’s their business, but since Orc did it public, that’s like … wrong.

My thoughts on this:

  1. Orc’s gf is such a big big Martyr. Okay, they both love each other… but he hurts her, and she doesn’t want to leave orc. I would think that was stupid, since that is such a big… … I don’t know… This is beating we’re talking about. I’m afraid he would become a wife-beater once and if they do marry. Orc does not deserve to have a girlfriend.
  2. Orc’s gf said that his beating is the only problem they have in their relationship. Everything else is perfect. I guess I could relate to this with me and Matt, although our relationship is far from perfect. From the outside probably it is… but… either way, I could understand a little.
  3. When you want to start a serious argument with someone, do it in private. Don’t do it out in the open. If you DO want to do it out in the open, do it for the reason that there will be people who are looking at you and that maybe that will stop you from beating up the other person–not just a woman to a man, but to any two people in particular. Another reason could be so that the people around you could physically stop you from killing the other person when you still are not able to stop yourself.
  4. Be considerate. People went to that outing to relax, have fun, unwind. DOn’t ruin everybody’s day.
  5. I can see James becoming a very good mate to his girlfriend and future wife and family, and I hope that would be Deb (Not right now though. They’re 10,000 years too young for that.). He’s always exposed to Orc beating up his gfs and … well, so on.
  6. Dude, no strangling.

Well… It ended happily. They got along in the end… although…. hm. better not say it.

Okay, That’s all for now. Pictures can be found here.
